When to use it
Script is decorative, so it belongs where decoration is expected: a display name, a signature line at the end of a thread, a short quote you want to set apart.
Bold cursive is the one most people mean when they say โcursive fontโ. The light version is more elegant but thin on a phone screen, so check it at the size it will appear.
Some capital letters in the light script come from an older part of Unicode, so they can look a little different from their neighbours in some fonts. The bold script has no such gaps.
What styled text costs on X
These are not fonts in the usual sense. They are different characters that happen to look like styled letters, and X treats them that way.

The bigger cost is reading. Screen readers either skip these characters or read them out one by one, as in โmathematical bold capital Hโ. A styled word is fine. A styled post shuts out the people who listen to X rather than read it, and many people do. Keep the important part in plain text and use styles for decoration around it.

How do I get a cursive font on X?
X doesnโt let you change fonts, but you can paste cursive-looking characters. Type above, copy the cursive version and paste it into your name or post.
Can people still find me if my name is in cursive?
Less easily. X search matches plain letters, and cursive letters are different characters. Keep your plain name somewhere: as the @handle, or with cursive only on a word next to it.
Why are numbers not in cursive?
Unicode has no script digits, so numbers stay plain. In a name or a short line it rarely matters.
